MISSION STATEMENT

The financial markets contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of mankind by building bridges between the economy in need of capital on the one hand and investors seeking returns on the other. In Switzerland, too, the functioning financial market contributes significantly to the prosperity of our country. It is an important part of the infrastructure of our economy, which is used intensively by the real economy, the public sector, consumers, investors and financial intermediaries. Our authorities, the National Bank, the operators of our financial center infrastructure and all other financial players are also dependent on a functioning financial market.

In contrast to the individual groups of its users and participants, the capital market, which is an eminently important part of the financial market for Switzerland, did not have its own forum. This gap is filled by the Swiss Capitalmarktforum association, which is dedicated to promoting the Swiss capital market by organizing conferences, supporting studies and research and thereby promoting discourse on topics relevant to capital market law. In particular, the association aims to contribute to the recognition and public discussion of risks that may arise in connection with capital market instruments for the financial system and the economy in general.

The association is politically neutral and solely focused on the well-being of the Swiss capital market in all its diversity and offers decision-makers as well as students in Switzerland the opportunity for an informal exchange of views in the form of events and other activities. All interested students can apply with a letter of motivation for a free ticket to the events.

A broad-based scientific board complements the Swiss Capitalmarktforum. Swiss Capitalmarktforum is a member of the European umbrella organization.
