Adj. Prof. Dr. Martin Haemmig‘s remarkable journey spans academia, industry, and advisory roles. As an Adjunct Professor at CeTIM in The Netherlands, he has provided guidance to corporate CVC-units, global VC firms, governments, and VC associations around the world. His expertise in “Entrepreneurship & VC/CVC & Globalizing Startups” has established him as a sought-after researcher, lecturer and advisor.
His notable engagements include significant contributions to the World Economic Forum and Stanford University, serving as a Senior Advisor on Venture Capital.
Dr. Haemmig’s research, encompassing thousands of startups globally, zeroes in on VC & CVC trends, setting industry benchmarks internationally. He has imparted his wisdom at leading institutions like:

His pivotal role in establishing the world’s inaugural doctoral program on Venture Capital at Renmin University, Beijing, and his advisory role at China’s largest science park, Zhongguancun, underscore his global impact. In conjunction with various national venture capital associations and also numerous universities, he educated over a thousand VCs and Corporate VCs (CVC), as well as family offices and other institutional investors in 11 countries.
During the 42 trips around the world in 20 years, he volunteered globally to coach hundreds of new startup entrepreneurs at leading technology schools in their technology incubators.
Despite retiring from teaching in 2021, Dr. Haemmig remains active in his research and participation in global VC/CVC and startup conferences. He is focused on fostering co-creation and digital transformation partnerships between corporates and cutting-edge startups & scaleups.
With a diverse background that includes an electronics degree from Switzerland, an MBA and doctorate from California, and a graduate degree from the Board Management School at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, Dr. Haemmig’s accomplishments are as varied as they are impressive. His two decades in global high-tech companies and the Swiss National Marketing Champion award in 1994 further highlight his extensive expertise.
